Die Tragglieder ( Stahlträger, Pfähle) werden vor dem Aushub der Baugrube erstellt und binden in den Baugrund unterhalb der Baugrubensohle ein. Danach wird die Ausfachung aus Holz, seltener auch aus Stahl oder Beton mit fortschreitendem Aushub zwischen den Traggliedern eingebracht.
